Psychological Support Project in Al-Busayra and Surrounding Villages in Eastern Deir ez-Zor
The project was implemented from 01/12/2020 to 31/12/2021.
It targeted 1,000 children from the schools in the targeted area and 300 parents.
During the project:
- The “I Deal” program for psychological support for children was implemented.
- Awareness activities were carried out.
- Awareness sessions were conducted for parents under the “Parenting” program, focusing on children’s rights and parenting methods.
- Recreational and educational activities were held in informal camps hosting displaced persons.

School Rehabilitation Project
The project was implemented between 20/09/2020 and 30/11/2020. Sixteen-bathroom blocks across 10 schools were rehabilitated, benefiting more than 4,818 students in the western and eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The maintenance included:
- Rehabilitating water, sewage, and electrical networks, replacing wall and floor tiles, and installing new wooden and metal doors for the blocks. Additionally, 2,000-liter water tanks were installed, and the blocks were painted both inside and outside, with roof insulation using a special material to prevent moisture and water leakage.

Winter Maintenance Project for Schools:
The project was implemented from 31/12/2019 to 29/02/2020.
It targeted 1,017 classrooms in 78 schools distributed across the eastern and western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, benefiting more than 29,000 students.
In this project, the organization worked on:
- Maintenance, installation, and painting of doors, windows, window protections, and main school doors
- Installation of glass and Lexan.

Project for the Rehabilitation of 10 Schools in the Eastern and Western Countryside of Deir ez-Zor
The project was implemented from 29/7/2019 to 11/11/2019. It included the following schools: (Al-Hassan Al-Saleh, Abriha, Dhiban Al-Farhoud, Darnaj South, Al-Hawi Al-Jurdi Al-Sharqi, Bouhamid North, Boushams Primary, Al-Sulaa, Shalala, Milaj Al-Muhadatha).
The rehabilitation included:
- Painting works.
- Complete rehabilitation of the bathrooms with the provision of water tanks.
- Maintenance of doors and windows, equipping whiteboards, and repairing electrical wiring.

School Desk Project:
The project was implemented from 26/04/2019 to 26/06/2019.
It involved the distribution of 3,748 high-quality desks across 44 schools in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, within the Al-Busayra district.

Project for Repairing Integrated Schools:
The project was implemented from 15/02/2019 to 30/06/2019.
It involved the complete rehabilitation of five schools: Jrowan Southerly, Azman Dibs, Al-Rayyana, Al-Khafiya, and Mazraat Al-Sughul in the Abu Khashab area.
This included repairing bathrooms, doors, windows, whiteboards, and seats. Additionally, the project rehabilitated the Al-Kharba School with new windows and doors, and repaired the bathrooms of the Bouhmid West and Milaj Al-Tayar schools within the Al-Jazrat district.

Project to Improve the Learning Environment in Deir ez-Zor Schools:
The project was implemented from 12/12/2018 to 15/02/2019. It aimed to supply schools with heating materials (“stoves and fuel tanks”) and to repair classrooms in need of doors or windows.
The project benefited 388 schools within the “Al-Busayra, Al-Sour, Al-Kasrah, and Al-Jazrat” areas.
During the project:
- 2,954 stoves and their accessories were distributed.
- 484 fuel tanks were distributed, along with a supply of diesel.
- 1,802 classrooms were repaired.

Alwan Center for Education and Psychological Support in Abu Khashab Camp:
The project began on 01/08/2018, with approximately 7,100 direct beneficiaries. The center continues its work to this day, six years after its launch.
Achievements at the center include:
1- Educating around 3,000 children and providing psychological support.
2- Offering psychological support services to approximately 600 parents.
3- Providing psychological support to 600 children enrolled in schools surrounding Abu Khashab Camp.
4- Delivering awareness services to 10,000 local community members through publications and awareness campaigns.
5-Engaging 250 young people in community service through volunteer work managed by the center.
