The project was implemented between 19/00/2021 and 10/12/2021 in 8 villages: Al-Tayana, Al-Shanan, Juma, Darnaj, Suwaydan, Al-Jardi Al-Sharqi, Al-Jardi Al-Gharbi, and Abu Hardoub in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
A total of 300 farmers benefited from this project, covering an area of 1,500 dunams, where 900 dunams were planted with green beans and 600 dunams with peas. The project aims to supply legumes to local markets, achieve self-sufficiency, increase farmers’ expertise in growing them, and introduce modern farming methods, thereby changing some of the inherited misconceptions they may have.
Beneficiaries received a package of fertilizers, including high-nitrogen fertilizer, high-phosphorus fertilizer, and potassium sulfate fertilizer, as well as a package of fungicides and insecticides, a set of farming tools, and bags for packing grants. Additionally, beneficiaries received field consultations on planting methods and crop management.
