Project to Enhance Food Security through Legume Cultivation
The project was implemented between 19/00/2021 and 10/12/2021 in 8 villages: Al-Tayana, Al-Shanan, Juma, Darnaj, Suwaydan, Al-Jardi Al-Sharqi, Al-Jardi Al-Gharbi, and Abu Hardoub in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
A total of 300 farmers benefited from this project, covering an area of 1,500 dunams, where 900 dunams were planted with green beans and 600 dunams with peas. The project aims to supply legumes to local markets, achieve self-sufficiency, increase farmers’ expertise in growing them, and introduce modern farming methods, thereby changing some of the inherited misconceptions they may have.
Beneficiaries received a package of fertilizers, including high-nitrogen fertilizer, high-phosphorus fertilizer, and potassium sulfate fertilizer, as well as a package of fungicides and insecticides, a set of farming tools, and bags for packing grants. Additionally, beneficiaries received field consultations on planting methods and crop management.

Project to Improve the Productivity of Fruit Trees
The project was implemented between 09/05/2021 and 24/09/2020. It involved extending and operating drip irrigation systems for 36 beneficiaries, with the goal of improving the productivity of fruit trees over an area of 353 dunams and 21,018 fruit trees owned by 35 farmers in the Al-Shaafa and Al-Bodran areas of the Al-Souseh district.
The project included:
- Constructing a concrete water reservoir and extending a drip irrigation system with a filter, fertilizer injector, and water pump.
- Distributing 35 kits of fertilizers, insecticides, and farmer equipment, which included balanced fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, Chlorpyrifos insecticide, Masayer Metrin insecticide, motorized ground sprayer, rain boots, gloves, glasses, tree pruning shears, saw, and a toolkit for installing and maintaining the irrigation system.

Project for Developing Off-Season Vegetable Farming through Agricultural Tunnels
The project was implemented from 01/01/2021 to 15/03/2021. It targeted 45 vegetable farmers in Al-Hawaij village and involved the planting of 1900 agricultural tunnels, half of which were planted with cucumbers and the other half with tomatoes.
The project included plowing the land for the beneficiaries, extending the drip irrigation systems, planting seeds, installing plastic arches, and covering the tunnels with two layers of nylon. Additionally, 45 kits of fertilizers, insecticides, and farmer equipment were distributed, including (high-nitrogen fertilizer, high-phosphorus fertilizer, balanced fertilizer, calcium boron, insecticides and fungicides, backpack sprayer, rain boots, gloves, and glasses).

Fruit Tree Farmers Support Project:
The project was implemented between 05/08/2020 and 20/11/2020. It involved extending and operating drip irrigation systems for 36 fruit tree farmers in the Al-Shafaa area. The project covered an area of 305.5 dunams and 18,219 fruit trees.
The project included the construction of a cement water basin and the installation of a drip irrigation network with a filter, fertilizer injector, and water pump. Additionally, 36 packages were distributed containing fertilizers, insecticides, and farming equipment, which included balanced fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, insecticide, a motorized backpack sprayer, rain boots, gloves, safety glasses, tree pruning shears, a saw, and a toolkit for network maintenance and installation.

Agricultural Irrigation Project in Al-Dahla Village:
The project was implemented from 13/10/2019 to 28/11/2019. It benefited 53 widowed women, providing them with agricultural seeds, fertilizers, plastic covers, and necessary materials for the covering process. The organization also replowed the land and provided full services to the beneficiaries.

Rehabilitation of Agricultural Complexes inAl- Jazrat (Milaj and Bhmaid)
The project was implemented during the period between 11/6/2019 and 11/12/2019
The number of beneficiaries of the project reached 2,300 farmers.
The following was implemented
⦁ 24 engines with 24water pumps have been rehabilitated.
⦁ Replacing the 861 meters of old pipes with different diameters
⦁ Rehabilitating 11 cement water basin
⦁ clean agriculture channels, with a length of 14750 meters
⦁ Replacing a 24 pipeline with length 408 meters
⦁ Supporting engines for a period of six months with diesel and oils.

Training for Education Teachers in the Deir ez-Zor Countryside
The training included three phases and aimed to:
- Develop the educational process and enhance teachers’ skills by enabling them to use modern teaching strategies and active learning, and by fostering higher-order thinking skills such as problem-solving, inquiry, and critical thinking.
The first phase of the training ran from 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2022 and included:
- Training 120 teachers from the Kasrah, Sour, Hajin, and Sousse areas and preparing them to be qualified trainers.
- Supervising the implementation of training by the previously trained 120 trainers, with a total of 1,500 teachers trained in the mentioned areas.
The second phase of the training lasted from 03/07/2023 to 31/06/2023 and included:
- Training 120 teachers from the Graneij, Al-Furat, Al-Jazira, and Dhiban areas and preparing them to be qualified trainers.
- Supervising the implementation of training by the previously trained 120 trainers, with a total of 1,620 teachers trained in the mentioned areas.
The third phase involved 26 trainees and was conducted from 24/02/2022 to 06/03/2022 at the Jarwan South School and Abu Khashab Primary School. The training covered an introduction to education and educational materials, aiming to improve the skills of new teachers by familiarizing them with the fundamentals of teaching preparation, content analysis, and behavioral objectives, and equipping them with basic skills to create and use educational materials.

Protection and Psychological Support Project in Hajin
The project was implemented between 31/05/2022 and 01/02/2023. It included:
- A focused psychological support activity targeting 200 children, mostly returnees from Al-Hol camp, residents, and displaced persons in Hajin and Al-Shafah. This activity included various psychological and recreational support sessions aimed at integrating the children with each other and the community. Additionally, awareness sessions were provided for caregivers.
- A case management activity, targeting 155 cases in Hajin and Al-Shafah among returnees from Al-Hol camp.
- Recreational activities for children, targeting 2,000 children from returnees of Al-Hol camp, residents, and displaced persons in Hajin and Al-Shafah.

Project for the Maintenance of School Bathrooms and Desks
The project was implemented between 01/07/2021 and 20/11/2021. During the project, 14-bathroom blocks were rehabilitated across 10 schools, and 12,596 school desks were maintained.
The number of students benefiting from this project was 42,045 in the western, eastern, and northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The work included installing new wooden doors and frames for all rooms, iron doors for the blocks from the outside, and 2,000-liter water tanks. Additionally, damaged tiles were removed and replaced with new ones, the sewage system was rehabilitated, the drinking water network was repaired, faucets were installed, and interior and exterior painting was done, including painting all doors and insulating the roof. A water line was also extended to the blocks and connected to the public water network. The maintenance of school desks was carried out in all schools within the Jazrat, Kasrah, and Sour educational complexes, as well as some schools in the Busayra educational district.

“Better Together” Project:
The project involved implementing the “Better Together” program from 01/06/2021 to 31/05/2024.
The program targeted 16 schools in the Jarwan and Abu Khashab areas and their surroundings, and 5 versions of the program were implemented in the Abu Khashab camp. The number of targeted caregivers was 1,500, including 452 males and 1,048 females, and the number of targeted children was 2,339, including 1,207 boys and 1,132 girls.
It is a program for psychological and social support and trauma recovery skills for families and children in the context of displacement and wars.
The goals of the program are:
- To regulate emotions and reduce the use of punitive measures, replacing them with positive discipline.
- To build a strong, supportive family capable of managing the difficult experiences they have endured.
- To help improve the psychological state of children and their behavior with peers and teachers in schools.
- To increase families’ ability to resolve conflicts and problems they face.
